We traveled to the country outside of Nanning.
Our guide, Jane, took us Northeast of the city today so we could observe life in the country. The area where we went reminded me of a Jan Brett book called "Daisy comes home." When I looked up the book, I found that Jan Brett wrote the book after she traveled to the Guang Xi Province and sailed down the Li River. Nanning is the capital of the Guang Xi Province. Wow, sorry, I just had a librarian moment.....here are some of the pictures:
